Your company will be exhibiting at CES this year, what is it that makes this an important event for your company?
CES is the biggest trade show we are participating in. It is the best place to display our latest innovations in the Internet of Things, as we showcase tangible use cases that appeal to the consumer industry as well as product developers and engineers.
It is also the ideal opportunity to see how the market is evolving, discover new ideas, disruptive innovations and discuss future trends.
For Qorvo it is a great occasion to meet with all its IoT customers and prospects on just four days.
What can a visitor to your booth expect to see this year?
Qorvo will explain how it can help solve the toughest RF challenges. We will showcase new products and recent technologies, technical demos to demonstrate our expertise in multi-protocol IoT applications using Zigbee, Thread and/or Bluetooth. We will also have an animated demo wall explaining how our technology makes homes and our lives smarter. It explains the concept of distributed Wi-Fi, improved energy efficiency and lifestyle and home monitoring solutions. Our expert team will be there to welcome visitors and guide them through our different RF domains of expertise.
Any new products you will be introducing?
Qorvo’s focus this year is on integration of the home’s infra-structure in the One-Pod per-Room concept, a concept in which all device in the home connect to a small router in every room, and where all these small routers (“pods”) are seamlessly inter-connected with high speed Wi-Fi to the main router for the external internet connection. All the devices in each room means literally everything: from small low power sensors to the high bandwidth users. Obviously is makes little sense to build two infra-structures in the home. Come and take a look at our booth and be impressed: the home of the future is closer by than you may think!
CES is a massive and unique event with both industry professionals and consumers. What do you have to do differently for your booth at CES compared to another industry show?
CES may be a somewhat a-typical show for Qorvo as a semi-conductor company. However, as we also propose software applications and solutions, this allows us to be truly consumer and end-user oriented, so that everybody, from a simple non-tech savvy consumer to a design engineer or a decision maker in IoT purchases, can sense what and how Qorvo is doing and where we are going.
When you get a chance to walk the exhibit hall floor yourself, what is it you will be most interested to see?
Having a look at how new products of the IoT– latest consumer innovations/especially while visiting Eureka Park to have a look at new innovations from start-ups – sense the pulse of the market.
When you book a booth for a tradeshow like this what are your expectations and what does your company hope to accomplish at the event?
We meet with all our customers on just four days, which is cost-efficient and highly effective, a great way to start the new year. We expect to tie new relationships, to increase Qorvo’s brand awareness in the IoT/Smart Home area among industry professionals, to know more about the industry, to meet also with journalists to explain our vision for the future.
