Please use the following guidelines when submitting copy for publication in the eMagazine or on the HomeToys Website.

Electronic File Types

Electronic format is required to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Raw Text

• ASCII text files (.txt)
• Hypertext files (.htm or .html)
• Email text (Pasted into the body of an email message)

Formatted Text

• Microsoft Word files (.doc)
• Word Perfect 5.x or 6.x files (.doc or .wpb)
• Rich Text Files (.rtf)
• Hypertext Files (.htm or .html)

Graphics and Photos

• Preferred Bitmap Files (.gif or .jpg)
• Other Bitmap Files (.bmp, pcx, .tif, .pic, .pct, .mpt, .mac, )
• Check with HomeToys for other formats.

Groups of Files

• Groups of files may be compressed and sent together in standard .zip format.

Submission Methods

Email - Preferred

• Send to news@hometoys.com
• Attachment - Standard MIME attachments.
• Message body - Simple raw text can be typed or pasted into an email message.

Internet

• If text or graphic material is already available on the internet (Web Page or FTP Site) then simply inform HomeToys via email and we can retrieve the information as required. State the URL and describe the text or graphics to be used.

Fax

• Descriptive material only to 631-614-5216
• Please use fax for descriptive documents only … text and photos cannot be reproduced for publication from faxed materials
