Spacia Hide-Away Indoor/Outdoor Speaker System
Custom Install Series: Meant to be heard... not seen!

Phase Technology

The Spacia speaker system produces high definition sound that is cleverly designed to look like an ordinary electric wall plate and the woofer is concealed by a heater vent in the floor or a return air register in the wall.

The CI Series of Custom Installation products provide the high level of definition and clarity that was only previously attainable from freestanding box type speakers. We introduced our first "in-wall" speaker in 1986 with the innovative toggle type mount.

Today's CI series, with the patented "Channel Clamp" bracket system (CI 110 II) is evidence of our commitment to our original directive; that every Phase Technology in-wall speaker produces the same high level of performance that our bookshelf speaker systems provide. We have achieved this by using identical speakers and Absolute Phase crossovers used in the award winning Premier Collection and Teatro speakers.

So, that is exactly what we did! Don't miss the newest CI product - the "Spacia." You'll have to look closely, because it is almost invisible!

What is Spacia?

The Spacia speaker system creates a wonderful atmosphere of sound that fills a room. The system was designed to blend into any room so that at first glance it is not visible. As you move around the room, you realize the music flows over you, but where is it coming from? Upon closer viewing, that otherwise normal looking wall outlet is not as it appears; there is no receptacle for a plug. And where is that great bass coming from, it's so clean and defined!

The Spacia speaker system produces high definition sound that is cleverly designed to look like an ordinary electric wall plate and the woofer is concealed by a heater vent in the floor or a return air register in the wall. The saying goes " A picture is worth a thousand words." Can you pick out the speakers? Here, we'll make it easier, just read between the lines.

Now, think of the possibilities. For the very first time high definition speakers can be put in any room of the home and they will always be overlooked. You will love the sound and your wife will love the fact she can't see them! You can now put a speaker anywhere you can put an electrical outlet. In addition to the normal living rooms and bedrooms, you can have great sound in kitchens where they fit right under the cabinets. They can be placed in bathrooms, spas and even in shower areas because they're water-resistant. In the home office, they will fit on either side of the computer monitor leaving your workspace clear of the extra clutter. You no longer have to settle for mediocre speakers because the Spacia was designed by audiophiles who have been engineering high definition speaker systems for over 45 years.

A typical three-piece system consists of two micro-modules and an in-wall or in-floor subwoofer. The micro-modules utilize an entirely new 3" polypropylene cone mounted to a capton voice coil former for lower mass resulting in superior high frequency response. The system response with the woofer is 45 Hz - 20,000 Hz. The micro modules may be used without the sub where low bass is not required. The 7" woofer is a shallow depth design with a polypropylene cone and butyl rubber surround. The woofer fits through an opening in your floor that is 9" x 4.5". Once the woofer is installed, a standard forced air floor vent covers it. The in-wall version comes with a 10" x 12" return air wall vent. The Spacia three-piece system is priced from $350 and is ready for retrofit or new construction.
