The design of an iHome
The planning of an intelligent automated adaptive home will require a great deal of thought in particular, the client to consultant, iHome briefing. While there are many aspects that an Architect designer may be able to co-ordinate, inevitably the master plan must be thought out carefully as it involves a great deal of technical expertise only found in experienced iHome installers and contractors many of whom have their own special liaison professional Architects and engineers familiar with their respective systems.
The scope of this iHome market is huge and some of the recent market projections cast worth in many billions of dollars per year world wide and it is growing. It is strange to me that some PC Corporations stop short at the media centre when the whole iHome is waiting to be fitted out in an array of new iDevices, iAppliances and iSystems that they could provide.
The type of equipment already owned by the clients need to be integrated into a whole new array of components which must all work together.
Much thought needs to be given to the green and sustainability characteristics of the systems installed. So few understand what is needed for the emergency standby and battery backup requirements for daily unforeseen developments and what may be done to facilitate a basic standby system for all the appliances, water reticulation, heating and cooling systems in such an new intricate interesting highly geared home.
A contemporary trend is to add masses of gear into the internal home environment not thinking of normal power standby requirements for all the devices on line or even in stand down mode.
Supplemental sustainable green energy systems now are available and some are not that expensive. The rising costs of electrical power and the ever increasing number of appliances, devices and systems require that at least stand by facilities be assured for the critical systems in an iHome.
Visualizing the layouts of the iHome is an assistance provided by many experts in the field and they are able to facilitate this in many ways by real time computer graphics to hand built models.
A simple illustrated layout can serve this purpose well and allow clients and the general public to grasp the concepts of how such systems may all work together.
The external areas around the iHome may be mapped with iPoints and network activities and some displays of full operational homes may be viewed either on the net or on call.
Each level of the dwelling can be mapped as part of the system planning process and each function explained as a step by step process but generally the user likes to see the gadgetry and discovers the scope of what is available by seeing available display homes.
Each level in its turn can be clearly mapped and each iPoint plotted showing its place in its respective network.
Finally the home itself may be visualized using many different methods of presentation. Normally 3D pictorial renderings on the fly scenario movies and real time 3D models can give a prospective user a broad concept of what their iHome may be able to do.
All that I can do in these postings is suggest the broadest scope of the market and facility that is growing each year.
The stepping through various scenario's in any life style is an onerous business but there are numerous standards available which may be altered to suit a particular activity theme.
Many large very well known Corporations have formed alliances to co-ordinate the plug and play inter linking of iAppliance to appliance, iDevice to device, and many new standards are being introduced each year. The personal computer, intelligent automated device and gadget market is rapidly increasing each year so it is well worth while watching the character of the iHome as it changes each year through what we may be able to put in it.
Home Appliance A device for roaming.
The think different definition will in a way really define the specifications of a Mac mini and special use add on's will redefine the scope of use.
